Mutant Salon performance | Hammer Museum

festival-de-las-muertas-flyer-2-1

The Hammer Museum presents Mutant Salon’s Festival De Las Muertas, a performance and art festival that will engage audiences through a mutant beauty parlor, performances, happenings, music, poetry readings, and a selection of zines by members of the extended Mutant Salon community of queer, trans, womyn, POC, and mutant artists and performers. Collectively, these artists are changing the cultural fabric of Los Angeles outside of institutional spaces. In the spirit of openness and expansion, Festival De Las Muertas welcomes diverse audiences at the Hammer Museum to partake in the individual and collective social, political, and aesthetic transformations that this community embodies.

This program is organized by January Parkos Arnall, curatorial associate, Public Engagement.
ALL HAMMER PROGRAMS ARE FREE.
