Kim Ye was selected as an Established Artist Fellow for the 2026–2027 California Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship in Los Angeles County.
The California Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowships program uplifts and celebrates California artists across all disciplines and traditions, highlights their excellence, and acknowledges their leadership in shaping traditional and contemporary cultures.
The 101 selected Fellows—66 Emerging Artist Fellows, 32 Established Artist Fellows, and 3 Legacy Artist Fellows—were chosen through a competitive peer-review process from a total of 1,226 applications submitted by artists across Los Angeles County. Fellows represent all five Los Angeles County Supervisorial Districts and span a broad range of artistic disciplines and traditions.
As an Established Artist Fellow, Ye will receive an unrestricted award of $10,000 in support of their artistic practice. Artists in the Established tier regularly make their work public and engage the larger community in their practice. Individuals in this tier can give multiple examples of artistic and/or cultural works that have made significant social impact.
